The Darkmoon Faire is a mysterious traveling carnival, which roams not only Azeroth but Outland as well. Led by the inimitable Silas Darkmoon, a gnome of dubious heritage and unknown providence, the Faire brings fun, games, prizes, and exotic trinkets of unexpected power to Mulgore, Elwynn Forest, or Terokkar each month.
A variety of amusements can be had by the discerning fairegoer, but the most common attraction is the ticket redemption. A variety of merchants at the Faire collect items from around the worlds in exchange for Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket. The tickets can, in turn, be saved up and turned in for prizes of varying worth and power. Several different ticket distributors are posted around the Faire, offering tickets for crafted items made by Leatherworkers, Blacksmiths, or Engineers as well as items gathered in the wild such as Evil Bat Eye and Glowing Scorpid Blood. Tickets can be redeemed for many things, from flowers to hold in the off-hand to necklaces of great power.
Many adventurers seek out the Darkmoon Faire to turn in the mystical Darkmoon Cards. Darkmoon Cards come in eight suits, each of which has cards from Ace to Eight. Combining all cards in a suit produces a deck, which will start a quest to return that deck to the Darkmoon Faire. Each of the eight decks produces a different trinket with a different effect, some of which are quite powerful.
The Darkmoon Faire's usual schedule has it arriving on site on the first Friday of the month. For the weekend, the carnies will be seen setting up the midway, and the Faire will actually start early on the following Monday.

New Pets
Pet Frogs!
There is a boy that you have to catch, who is very quick on his feet! He runs around the Darkmoon Faire grounds. His name is Flik. He sells an unlimited supply of tree frog boxes. He likes to run off on you while you're shopping so you have to buy from him quick! The cost for his frogs is 1 gold.
Limited Quantity Wood Frog Pet - Flik also sells a limited quantity Wood Frog Box. This frog has spots and his tongue flicks out. :) The spawn time is around 20 minutes.
Jubjubs!
Unhatched Jubling Egg - this is received after completing the quest, "Spawn of Jubjub." You receive the quest from Morja in the Darkmoon Faire. You must throw a Dark Iron Ale Mug at her feet. This will lure her beloved pet Jubjub out of hiding because that's his favorite drink. After Jubjub's return, quickly speak to Morja again. Then hand her another Dark Iron Ale Mug. In return, she will give you an Unhatched Jubling Egg, which will take 7 days to hatch and you will have your very own Jubjub!
Obtaining Dark Iron Ale Mugs - The ale can be found at the Auction House or purchased in limited quantities in the Blackrock Depths bar from Plugger Spazzring and Ribbly's Crony for 6 silver. The ale is also a 0.1% drop from Grim Patron, Phalanx, and Guzzling Patron. thottbot drop info

Darkmoon Cards are collectible sets of cards. When all eight cards in a set are collected, they form a complete deck, which may be returned to The Darkmoon Faire for an epic trinket, which is also called a Darkmoon Card.
Neither the individual cards nor the decks are bind on pickup, and a character of any level can create a Deck. The trinkets you get from turning in a deck is, however, bind on pickup, and has a 60 level requirement for the pre-BC decks, 70 level requirement for the BC ones and an 80 level requirement for the WotLK ones.
The cards themselves drop from high level mobs of different zones. The Two, Three and Four of each deck drop from various humanoids and undead of level 50 or so and up. The Five, Six, Seven and Eight of each deck only drop from elite humanoids and undead of level 50 or so and up. The cards from the Lunacy, Storms, Furies and Blessings drop from Outland mobs, and the Aces drop from any level 70 dungeon boss. The Pre-BC Aces only drop from specific bosses:
- [Ace of Warlords] - King Gordok, Dire Maul North
- [Ace of Beasts] - The Beast, Upper Blackrock Spire
- [Ace of Portals] - Darkmaster Gandling, Scholomance
- [Ace of Elementals] - Various Elemental Bosses: Lord Incendius, BRD; Hydrospawn, Dire Maul East; The Windreaver, Silithus; Baron Charr, Un'Goro Crater; Princess Tempestria, Winterspring; Avalancion, Azshara (Last four only present during Elemental Invasions)
As of Patch 3.0.2, which added inscription, inscribers can now produce these cards and are the only way to aquire the level 80 Northrend cards.
